Assorted whiny do-gooders once demanded that the Warlords of Mars find a new mascot claiming that Mauler the Martian represented a racist stereotype of alien life. They even threatened to sabotage the biggest game of the season by setting up a picket line and preventing the team from entering the stadium. Fortunately the Warlords' head of public relations managed to resolve the situation by flying in a large contingent of alien fans and having them beat the protesters senseless.
