The Sussurrae are amongst the strangest of the galaxy's intelligent life-forms. In their natural stake they exist as drifting clouds of brightly-colored sentient gas, leading show and ponderous lives. But when trouble arises, and dynamic activity is required, theu will compress themselves into humanoid -shaped suits. Being thus contained dramatically increases their level of mental focus, and improves their ability to interact with other species - who find talking to clouds of gas somewhat disconcerting. It also enables them to wield conventional armaments should they with to. Though Sussurrae have been known to use their bodies as weapons instead, allowing their gas to infiltrate enemies' respiratory systems and destroy them from within.
