Maureen "Mo" Xie became a legendary figure on Earth during the late twentieth century, when she helped defend the planet from the Quiskerians. Over the subsequent decades Moxie battled numerous dangerous enemies, as well as training other specially gifted individuals to use their powers to maximum potential. Today she adorns both the pages of history and the dreams of countless adolescent boys who encountered her image during their lessons. But to a small religious sect, she's also an object of worship. The Moxie Mash Maidens, as they call themselves, claim that the crime-fighter was one of the many incarnations their goddess has assumed over the millennia. Therefore they believe it's a pious act to dress in her likeness and thump criminals.
