"I think so," her friend replied.
Furniture crashed, breaking Zeroth's fall and -- from the sound of it -- perhaps Zeroth himself. The freshmen winced.
"Should we help him?" the first asked.
Heavy footsteps thudded in the passage, and Cornerstone's hulking form came into view. The second freshman gulped.
"Maybe... Maybe we should go instead," he said. "Like right now."
"Yeah..."
