Courage excuses a multitude of sins. At least in the court of public opinion. Little Susie Homewrecker stood up for Culverton while its regular defenders were out of the picture -- now people are cheering her name, wearing her face on t-shirts, and embracing vegetarianism in record numbers.
Although the authorities are adamant that she'll have to stand trial for her innumerable crimes (the police chief going so far as to declare that "Punching the right people for a change doesn't give you a 'get out of jail free' card!"), any attempt to arrest her right now would likely result in a riot.
