| Only the Topers have been able to find common ground with the terrible denizens of the swamp – the Hissers. These dreadful serpents are not satisfied with the small rodents and Kwaagwas that live in the slime, and have acquired a taste for human flesh. The Topers have been able to tame these terrible creatures and turn them into the most loyal and dreadful guards of their swampy kingdom. One look at a giant Hisser can make even the bravest warrior quake! Frequenters of the Branendal taverns even say that they have encountered Hissers large enough to eat a grown man whole! It's up to you whether to believe these tales or not.
