*New Zone: Playing With Fire (Part 2)
**Journey onward with the adventures of the Captain in a brand new mini-zone as he continues the fight against the ominous Kalaxian cult!
**Zone 18 is unlocked after beating zone 17 on normal difficulty.
**This zone contains 4 missions and 1 boss.
**There are no item requirements involved on any of the difficulties.
**Since this is the end of the mini-zone cycle, a new Legendary crew is now available for crafting - the powerful pyrokineticist Ali!
**As per past Legendaries, those who are server first crafters will appear in the lore of a future Limited Offer item.
**There is also an end-of-zone reward after beating zone 18 on NM difficulty.
**The raid from this zone is categorized as Epic, Organic Humanoid, Human, Male and Alien Beast.

*Sheila Dersten, Kelna Vash and Sar Nix Flek all do bonus damage against Organic Humanoids, and gains proc damage and +8 DEF depending on the synergized officer active in the ship.

Bug Fixes and Changes
*Fixed the unknown collection that players could obtain from the Gut-Phager raid on Legendary, and the item has been removed from affected players' inventory.
*Fixed the item requirement bug for Anguished Love boots, and now only needs 1 Anguish boots instead of 2.
*The Greater Honor Syringe and Experimental Honor Syringe are now part of the shop, and will be there to stay for players to purchase at 5GS (Greater) and 8GS (Experimental).

**Njal Thundersson is temporarily back on the "New" tab of the lab page for your crafting convenience.
**Since Halloween is over, the Series 1 Halloween masks are no longer part of Python's on-hit drops; also, the number of possible guaranteed Halloween Pumpkin grabbags for the end of the loot have been lowered to 4 maximum.
**The Xeno-Hazard armor pieces are still guaranteed drops.
**The Infested heads, Infestation Eliminator crew, the Xeno-Infestation Destroyer ship are still part of the on-hit loot.

**TIME CHANGE NOTICE: Due to scheduling concerns, we will be releasing Cerebral Destroyer at 6PM GMT / 18:00 GMT.

**It is a 3 day long raid, categorized as type Normal, Colossal, Psychic, Mechanized and Ship.
**The raid will drop Sian Tags on-hit, as well as a low chance to summon the following crew members on-hit.

**In addition, we now have the ability to transmit a marquee across the News screen to broadcast special announcements (for example: "Maintenance in 30 Minutes!" will scroll across the news screen)
**As a one time deal to present this brand new feature to you, we will announce the Cerebral CEO rare spawn; please see the next section for more details.
**Please note that because of this UI enhancement, we will be releasing the raid simultaneously across all servers.

**As a way to present to you the News UI Enhancement, we are announcing the Cerebral CEO rare spawn event as a one time deal.
**This raid will be summoned on February 21st, at 10:30 PM GMT (22:30 GMT)
**Future Rare Spawn events will continue to be a surprise.
**This is the last time this month Cerebral CEO will be summoned, and will return again at an unspecified date in the future.
**This rare spawn raid will be 24 hours long, and have stamina, energy and honor available.
**Cerebral CEO is category normal difficulty, epic size, psychic, organic humanoid, human and female.
**There will be a clickable link on the News UI which will open up a page of the loot poster.


*The Cerebral Destroyer is coming!

Bug Fixes

*Bug fixed where Anita's stats were going down by 5 whenever more than one Robot officer was active in the ship.
*Holographic Christmas Projector should now functioning properly, and have a chance to reduce incoming raid damage.
*Issue with Amplifier 1 & 2 on the Zone 16, Area 1 NM mission boss has been fixed.

New Premium Crew: Venus!
*Obtain love, power and desire with an all new Premium Crew: Venus!
*As one might discern from her name and alluring aspect, Venus was built as a pleasure bot. However, during her instruction in the nature of human interaction, she became curious about the concept of love. Hence she investigated the matter via TALOS’ extensive information archives. *As a result of her research, Venus decided that meaningless coupling certainly wasn’t the way to achieve true love. So, following a heated argument with — and resigned sighs from — the engineers who built her, she became a romance bot instead. Her new directive: to travel human space and help people find fulfilling relationships.
*Get the first ever crew in Suns to have the same synergy as Anita, Svana, Gera Marl and Mr. Falyx — Venus’ Attack and Defense stats increase +5 for each active crew in the ship, regardless of their race, roles or attributes! So in a 40 crew slot ship, she will synergize with all 39 crew and even herself in the 40th slot.
*Venus has a chance to summon every non-unique crew member in the game — from free, limited offers to expedition crew. Even non-unique crew dropped exclusively from World Raids are also summoned.
*Venus’ attack and defense increases +2 for each different crew member owned, both unique and non-unique.
*Venus is race category Robot, with her role and attribute categorized as Any. For those interested, Anita will synergize with Venus due to her being a Robot.
*She can be purchased for 150 Suns, and will be available for this Limited Offer cycle (e.g.: two weeks).


Zone 17 – Playing With Fire (Part 1)
*Play through the ever expanding adventures of Suns in an all new mini-zone!
*Things heat up as a new character with a mysterious, pyrokinetic power makes an appearance! Meanwhile, an ominous organization continues with their own dark agenda as the Blue Wyrm Watches. And what will happen with the Captain? Find out today in an all new Zone 17!
*Zone 17 can be accessed after beating the second area of Zone 16 on normal.
*Zone 17 is a mini-zone, with 4 missions and 1 boss.
*There are no item requirements for this zone.
*The boss of this zone is category epic, organic humanoid, human and male.
*Please note that the 3 item pieces needed for other treasure hunts (Blue Dwarf Gloves, Vengeful Shadow Gloves and Thugby All-Star Brainbucket) are intended for the NM loot table, but are at a low drop rate; this is to give players another avenue to obtain these items should Suns be added into another server.
*The next zone will be scheduled for next month, as we focus on the exciting treasure hunt coming live next week!

New UI Changes
*Looting is now more streamlined: when you bring up the loot page, you can click anywhere outside of the loot window to instantly close it; no more excessive sliding around to click that close button!
*Even better looting enhancement: shift+click over the “loot” button of a completed raid to bypass the looting screen; get your items faster than the speed of light!
*The following UI changes have also been made to the following sections of the game: collecting daily login rewards, collecting facility items, gaining achievements, leveling up, opening grabbags, and obtaining random buy purchases on expeditions.
*Please note that direct purchases of items still have their standard UI.
*You can now purchase things in a quantity of 1000, so now you can buy/hoard your Transfunctioners in a mega bulk!


Expeditions UI + Mystery Pack Updates
*For a better level of transparency, percentages now show in green text on an item’s tooltip within the expeditions, which will determine the chance of acquiring an item on the expedition loot tables.
*Percentages will not show on an item’s tooltip in your inventory/ship pages.
*The drop chance of items increase from left to right, and from top tier to bottom tier (so the top left items would have the lowest chance, while the bottom right items would have the highest).
*In case the tooltip is inaccessible due to positioning issues, the follow percentages are for the seven tier 1 items, starting from left to right:
**New Item Pack: 1.4%, 1.4%, 1.4%, 1.45%, 1.45%, 1.45% and 1.45%
**Relic Pack: 1%, 1%, 1.55%, 1.55%, 1.6%, 1.65%, and 1.65%

Facebook Exclusive: Game Groups
*Working in conjunction with Facebook's new feature, alliances can now create a Facebook group within the game which will allow alliances to organize their activities such as posting messages or sharing raids directly into the group from the game.
*Players forming new alliances will be given additional permissions to select for automatically creating the group.
*Existing alliances have the option to create a group from their alliance page, just above the "Invite" button.
*Once a group is made, charter members (for new alliances) or existing members (for current alliances) will automatically be added into the alliance's Facebook group.
*The current functionality that exists between the game and the groups are as follows: Officers/Leaders can post a Message of the Day directly into the group from the alliance panel, alliance members can post a single raid link directly into the group via the broadcast button/red alert from raids.
*This is a work in progress and we will continue to work on adding additional features that will streamline the Game Group experience. We are looking into things such as creating events inside the game to be posted into the group, optimizing raid sharing (for example, sharing more than 1 raid link at a time into your alliance group), and so on.

New Alliance Boss 2: SANTA's Workshop
SANTA, aka Save Aliens by Nuking Their Asses, are up to their seasonal shenanigans once again. This time they're planning to carry out a series of devastating attacks on non-Christmas-celebrating species, until those aliens learn to appreciate the holiday spirit and uphold the yuletide. But one of SANTA's former members has blown the whistle and revealed the location of their secret workshop, paving the way for a tactical festive strike.
This is a medium raid with 50 slots.
There is no cooldown for this raid.
It's classified as mechanized and alliance.


New Alliance Armor: Winter Wolf Set
You can upgrade the Psi-Hound Armor set using the Winter Wolf components from the 2 new alliance raids.
The Grey and Blue Winter Wolf Statues are from the SANTA's Workshop alliance raid.
The Brown and Green Winter Wolf Statues are from the Rabid Reindeer alliance raid.

*The boar's head drops from the mini-zone mission boss, which is an item needed to upgrade Ragnar's Axe into Ragnar's Omnicidal Axe.
*The rest of the ingredients can be found amongst the other raids tied to the Raid-ception event.
*Please note that when you own this upgraded axe, both non-upgraded and upgraded Ragnar's proc will automatically increase.
*The rare drop from the mission boss is Atreyu's Blade, which is one of the components needed to craft the Legendary Officer at the end of this month.

Fixes and Changes
*Completely removed Laser Fodder as a random drop from the Zone 3 mission boss loot tables; there was a very rare circumstance where a handful of players were able to get 2 versions of Laser Fodder. Those that have 2 Laser Fodders have had them removed, or will be removed soon. THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!
*A hotfix will be incoming for the next 3 bugs:
**There is a visual bug that may affect some players where their officers show an experience deficit in the negatives (for example, a level 2 officer may show as level 1 but with -2000 exp); simply gain a few raid experience points to revert the officers back to their normal levels.
**Svana Spunbrancher also has a visual bug where her Attack/Defense synergy bonus does not count the initial melee crew added to the ship; There will be a hotfix for this as well.
**Biological Warfare does not work for the zone 13 raid boss at the moment.

New World Raid: Cerebral Destroyer
*Arms manufacturers are always keen to develop the latest innovative weaponry -- products which might earn them a bigger chunk of the interstellar slaughter market and let them rake in the credits. But these days it takes a lot to make the galaxy sit up and take notice. If an up-and-coming company wants to grab headlines and play with the big boys like Terminus and Kill-Tech, they have to bring out something impressive. Something big. Something crazy... Like a giant, genetically engineered brain with psychic powers, mounted on a ship for use in space combat. At least that's what one group of boffins came up with. However, the problem with crazy experiments is that they often have equally crazy consequences. In this case, the brain decided to assume control of the ship, blast the crew out of the airlocks, and take revenge on humanity for its creation. As usual, it's up to you to fix this mess before things get any worse...
*The Cerebral Destroyer will be available on Friday, September 21 - time range of his availability for that day will be sometime between the afternoon to evening GMT.
*To help alleviate the server stress and ultimately lag, we will be releasing the world raid sequentially between the three platforms instead of simultaneously.
*The order of the release will be Facebook, Kongregate and Armor Games.
*The release on each platform can be anywhere between 15-30 minutes apart, to ensure that our servers can handle all players across all 3 platforms.

**Francois Dupont, the UHW's secretary-general, was proud of himself when he arranged permission for human archaeologists to excavate Ciaxia. That world was one of the first colonized by the Quiskerians, and became their most important religious center -- home to many significant places of worship. And though the species was wiped out long ago, their territory annexed by the Huk-Kral, they've always been of interest to scholars due to their history with mankind. Hence the opportunity to study their ancient temples was too good to pass up. Now the archaeologists' ship is sending out a distress call. The last thing its crew heard before losing contact with them was screaming. What lurks in the temple they were exploring?
*This is a small type general raid with 25 slots for participants.
*You must craft the raid's essence in the lab page with the following ingredients: 1 Orange Starmap, 5 Purple Travel Journals, 10 Blue Energy Spheres.
*The raid's loot tables contains two new armor sets: Quiskerian Priest and Quiskerian Warrior sets.
*The Quiskerian Warrior set can be upgraded into the Quiskerian Invader set when combined with the Rylattuu Ultra-Power Doom Sphere in the lab.
*This is the first raid in Legacy of a Thousand Suns to have Fusion Crystals in its loot table, which are components needed to upgrade equipment in the Fusion Depot. Please see Fusion Depot in the next section of the patch notes for more information.
*Fusion Depot
**You now have the ability to strengthen the attack and defense stats of your equipment via the Fusion Depot!
**You will need to acquire and use Fusion Crystals for this process; these can be found in the Quiskerian Temple raid's loot table.
**The Fusion Depot can be found in the player's profile screen.
**When in the Fusion Depot screen, double-click on a weapon to load it into the Item slot; afterwards, select "Fusion Crystal" from the Slot drop-down menu and double-click on a colored Fusion Crystal.
**Once the slots have been loaded with their appropriate object, click on the "Fuse Item" button to enhance the attack and defense values of your equipment.
**There are a few things to take into consideration: one crystal is consumed in the process each time you fuse an item, fusion upgrades affect the entire stack of equipment, and you cannot upgrade utilities in the Fusion Depot.
**Each crystal has their own minimum/maximum bonus values that they'll give to an item's attack and defense, with higher crystal rarities producing greater results.
**You can craft an Orange Fusion Crystal using 1 of each colored Fusion Crystals -- Brown, Grey, Green, Blue and Purple.
**Fused items worn by your Galaxydome team will be taken into the Galaxydome power calculations.
**Fused items are not taken into Skirmish calculations for now; target to have them calculated is for next week's build, where there will be a new leaderboard standing for Skirmishes.

**Inhabitants of the Neo-American colonies don't feel it's a proper celebration unless they're waging war on the heavens by unleashing massive firework ordinance. But as they say, it's all fun and games until someone loses an arm. Or a head... This year one city decided to avoid packing the emergency rooms by having payloads of fireworks launched from a machine instead of by human hand. So the Celebration Enhancer J-54 was born. It was a good plan. However, when they fired the lead engineer for being drunk on the job, he took his revenge in the usual manner: by reprogramming it into a rampaging engine of death and destruction. Now it's up to you to bring it down, so the revelers can instead enjoy a slower and more pleasant death from fried food and cheap beer.
*This is a 250 seat alliance raid.
*After defeating this raid, there is a 1 hour cooldown timer before it can be summoned again.
*New raid features a set of firework ingredients; collect them to craft an Immolator Firework.
*The Immolator Firework can be used to upgrade the Incendiary Trooper set into the Immolation Squad set.
*The Celebration Enhancer raid also drops an Ally of the Empire Medallion, which is one ingredient needed to upgrade the officers Maximilian, *Big Bull, Larisa and Faylinn.

**A new raid is upon us!
***It's bad enough when space pirates shoot the place up, kidnap people for ransom, and generally act like prats. But now a band of interstellar buccaneers are spreading around a disease they contracted in a backwater brothel. Someone needs to bring them down, before they can infect anyone else!
**The first Space Pox raids will be summoned by your friendly (by which we mean marginally less hate-filled) developers. The raid's data will appear on its loot table, thus allowing it to spread virally (virus... disease... clever, huh?).
**As with all raids, new loot will be up for grabs.
**This loot includes the Rylattu Ultra-Power Doom Sphere, a potent ingredient that can be used to upgrade items.
***For now you may use these to turn the Thugby set into the Thugby All-Star set. But more recipes will be released in the future.
***The loot table also includes Doom Sphere Segments, which may be collected and combined to create Doom Spheres. Think of it as being like buying a weapon of mass destruction on the installment plan.
*Raid Vault 3.0
**A new Raid Vault may now be purchased in the Shop, for one week only.
**Each one you purchase and open will yield 1 Officer OR 1 Crew OR 1 Ship OR 1 Utility.

*Proc and Effect revamp:
**Major behind the scenes changes have been conducted to the proc and effect systems. For those unfamiliar with the terms, note the special orange text abilities described on equipment and officers' tool-tips. When there's a triggered raid ability, such as a chance to cause bonus damage, that's a proc. When there's a static effect, such as a bonus to Stamina if the item is equipped, that's an effect.
**In theory you shouldn't notice any mechanical differences to procs when you play. At your end they should work exactly as they did before. But the changes will hopefully improve the game's performance.
**The revamping of effects should ensure that mismatches and lost Energy / Stamina / Honor points no longer occur.

**General Skorzeny, one of the Centurian Collective's most feared butchers, has been dispatched to eradicate resistance on an occupied planet. But you intend to see that he never gets there. A plan is in place to ambush Skorzeny's cruiser, and assassinate the general. However, this assault can only succeed if enough heroic pilots and soldiers are willing to join in the endeavor.
**General Skorzeny will be summoned later today! If you missed it the first time, now is your chance to get in on the action!   
*New get help feature for raids. You can now request help by clicking the green satellite button to the left of the 'engage' button on the raid list. This button functions the exact same way as clicking the "Red Alert" button in a raid.
*Wahsh Al-Sahraa:
**A fearsome monster lurks beneath the sands. Can you destroy Wahsh Al-Sahraa, or will your bones litter the desert?
**Wahsh Al-Sahraa may be summoned via the Alliance Hall. (Note-this raid has a 48 hour cool down timer)
**This is a special raid, in which every participant receives the same amount of loot. It's an opportunity for alliances to work together as a team -- or else be devoured by a desert monster. Either way is good.
**New recipes have been added to the lab, which use ingredients taken from the creature's hide.

*More than doubled the drop rate for skulls in zone 9.  
*Space Invaders are now available in the bazaar only after you unlock Zone 7.
*Ships Plated Fist and Rebel Smuggler now function as intended with the power bonus.
*The Zone 9 completion achievement (My Love Is Vengeance) should now be awarded correctly.
*Players who previously completed the zone on nightmare difficulty without receiving achievement credit have been awarded some AP by way of compensation.
*The Zone 9, Area 4 boss no longer drops the Sian Valor Medallion - as a technical issue prevented it from being awarded on the first playthrough of the area. Instead the medal will now drop from the preceding mission (only once per clear of the area).

*Daily Rewards:
**The more observant of you will notice the new Daily Reward button on the Home page. Pressing it will trigger a pop-up displaying a number of reward boxes.
**For each consecutive day that you log into the game, you'll receive one of those reward boxes - beginning with the brown one, and increasing in level every time until you receive the red one (assuming you log in each day).
**Note that if you skip a day you'll revert to square one, and your next reward will be the brown one.

New Alliance Bosses:
* Four new bosses are ready for battle: the Crossbones Squadron, Mr. Justice, the Rylattu Exterminator, and the Lurking Horror.

Galaxydome is open!
* A new PvP system is now accessible.

Christmas Presents:
* Christmas continues to be celebrated in the far future, even in the furthest reaches of human space. So for a limited time Christmas presents are available in the game.
* There are six different presents: brown, grey, green, blue, purple, and orange.
* They may be obtained through gifting and Get Help requests, or purchased in the Shop.
* If you obtain a Christmas present, simply double-click it in your Inventory to open it.
* Presents might contain things you've seen before, or special festive items.
* Certain combinations of Holostockings from the Christmas presents can be traded in for prizes in the Lab.
* In honor of the holiday season, we've also halved the recharge times of everyone's attribute bars (Energy, Stamina, Honor, Health). * That means you'll now have even more resources to play with. These new timers will be in place for two weeks, so make the most of them!
* And if that's not enough of a demonstration of holiday spirit, for that two week period we're also giving bonus Golden Suns with each purchase!


Bragging:
* New bragging messages can now be posted on your Facebook walls. If you kill a Mission boss, loot a Raid boss, gain a level, obtain an Expedition item, or win a PvP encounter, you'll have the option of announcing this achievement on your wall. Delight your friends with tales of your exploits!
* They'll even gain Credits for clicking on them, so they too can revel in your victories.
