Archangel Gauntlets
Grasp of the Angel: Chance for bonus damage; Extra damage for each additional piece of Archangel gear equipped
A soldier wishing to be admitted into the Archangels proved himself a peerless warrior, and overcame the martial trials with ease. Then he distinguished himself in the examinations on matters of theology and philosophy, demonstrating that he was an excellent scholar as well. For his final trial he was equipped in an Archangel's panoply, taken to the edge of a lake, and told to cross to the other side without getting wet. Believing this to be a test of his faith, he tried to walk upon the water -- and fell in. So he failed, and was turned away. A worthy Archangel would have flown, rather than relying upon an unnecessary miracle.
