2. The Huk-Kral weren't stupid. Their minds developed as they killed and conquered and consumed. And though their upper pair of arms were murderous weapons, their lower limbs had evolved hands not dissimilar to those of a human, Snuuth, or Vlarg -- as proponents of the seed-world theory are fond of pointing out. At first they didn't build weapons, because their arms were deadly enough. Nor did they fashion architectural masterpieces in which to dwell, for their hardy frames didn't fear Rak-Thun Prime's rain or chill or heat. But their bodies and brains held the potential to build and wield. This would supposedly prove the downfall of their world's first interplanetary visitors. | |
