Before Stochastic Pugilists are battle ready, they go through rigorous training by learning both close quarters combat maneuvers and quantifying indeterminate values. Outsiders aren't sure what the Stochastic Pugilist training involves per se. Some believe they run through straight, narrow corridors, which have pneumatic robotic fists that punch through the walls randomly, as they dodge, punch and kick their way through to the end while shouting probability distributions out loud. Others believe that Pugilists are old contenders of the Twisted Steel events, recruited by Andrey Markov himself. But outsiders of the process speak jokingly of exercises that involved sitting together in a hovel as they rolled a handful of multi-sided die to see how many times a 20 showed up. Although the last time a Stochastic Pugilist heard that disparaging remark, she broke the naysayer's jaw with her elbow.
