Death Match Ship
Power Bonus 100
One of the most exciting matches Twisted Steel offered involved placing two or more competitors on a ship, fixing its course so it flew towards the middle of a star, and seeing which of them could fight their way to the craft's limited number of escape pods before the ship was incinerated. However, revenue generated from PPV and holo-vid sales was only marginally higher than the cost of the destroyed vessels. Hence these matches were phased out, replaced with ones in which heavily armored ships are instead crashed into the surface of planets -- causing carnage to those unfortunate enough to remain onboard, but incurring only a relatively minor repair bill.
