Elam's armor contained holographic projectors, to create the shadowy replicas that gave him his ring name. But these were no mere decoys, designed only to distract his adversaries. When they lunged, they appeared ti strike with genuine force. Some believe his suit projected concussive energy bursts which were concealed within each hologram. Others claim he was a psychic, who used telekinesis in sync with the holographic blows.
