The Accelerant, Alana Lively, is a jewel in the Phaeton Project's crown -- Billy Stopless' prized pupil, and one of the most powerful Emergents in the school. It's widely believed that she'll be valedictorian when the current upperclassmen graduate.
Alana can run at superhuman speeds, faster than bullets flying from the barrels of guns. She can also wield flame -- leaving burning trails behind her as she goes, melting the gunfire she outruns, and imprisoning bad guys in the middle of flaming cyclones.
