She ordered numerous forms of animal to be obtained, brought to Slubuth, and let loose so that their fate might be observed as a source of intellectual interest and amusement. As one might have predicted, most of these creatures died out in short order -- unable to cope with the poisonous air, water, and food or else falling easy prey to Slubulus' hardy predators. But some animals did manage to flourish, to the delight of Governor Pasc.
