Most parents never stop worrying about their children, even when those sons and daughters are well into adulthood. That was certainly true of Mira Aronowitz. As she lay on her deathbed, what troubled her wasn't the thought of her own mortality, but rather that her son might slip into lax moral ways when she wasn't around to keep an eye on him. Hence one of her final acts was to have a device programmed with an artificial intelligence based on her personality, ensuring that she could nag him from beyond the grave when necessary.
