<span style="color:gold">'''Premiums'''</span> are the most powerful items in the game.  They are initially offered for sale on the front page for 150 GS for two weeks.  After that they are only available as 1% jackpot items in the Mystery Pack or Vaults.  For players with the best ships, these Premiums typically make up more than 60% of their ship power (e.g. 19k power out of 31k total ship power).  Additionally, their proc damage and mimic damage often contribute more than 50% of damage dealt.  For example, a gear item from the latest/most powerful vault has an Attack Value (AV) of 1,000 [[http://www.legacyofathousandsuns.com/forum/showthread.php?17247-Cost-analysis-of-Vaults-Dispensers]].  The AV of a premium ranges from 2k up to more than 9k (total of 43,500 AV for the current 9 premiums). An item from a vault or New Item Pack will quickly become outdated due to power creep, but a premium's power is continually increased by acquiring more items within the game. To acquire an old premium at a 1% chance in a pack will typically cost about 3,500 Gold Suns, or approximately US$ 300. The <span style="color:red">'''Legendary'''</span> officers are also included at the bottom of the table as they are typically regarded as 'free' premiums that are reasonably available in the game with considerable time, effort and/or Golden Suns.  The two 'passive' officers, Admiral Kole and Memories of Illaria, are also included as they provide their boost even without being in the current ship.

The three <span style="color:red">'''Legendary'''</span> restoration utilities are included in a third table, as they are considered the best utilities in the game.

The most commonly used tactics are Suppressive Fire, Esprit de Corps, Flank Attack, and Preparation.  They are referred to as the 'EdC chain'.  They should be applied in that order on raids with 3 or more tactic slots.  On 1-2 tactic slot raids the most common tactic is Asymetric Warfare.  If you see Bull/Gorgon/Stan applied on any raid, do not place any part of the EdC chain (since those tactics nullify it's value).
