The Huk-Kral customs enforcer that had shot down his craft hadn't seemed equally enthusiastic about Hudson's plans, and if anything the occupants of the jungle had been more enthusiastic about his presence than he would prefer. 

He had had a little time to adjust his expectations while fleeing desperately for his life, and now Hudson simply hoped that something large and nasty would find the pursuing Huk-Kral customs enforcer before either of them found Hudson.

He had to admit the odds weren't good.
