|text=Unscrupulous forces have been scouring planet after planet, trying to track down the latest powerful armaments -- weapons possessed by only the galaxy's elite warriors. These dark powers failed to obtain them by fair means, so now they're resorting to foul ones... To this nefarious end, their ships' scanners have been calibrated to detect the unique energy signatures those small arms produce. However, honorable souls have taken it upon themselves to thwart their plans. They've had rings made which mimic those energy patterns, and have been distributing them to render that scanning useless.
