|text=13. Kell carried the Vlarg into his ship's holding bay. There was secure accommodation for a dozen prisoners in the bay's two rows of cages. Double that if he neglected their comfort or the risk of cellmates killing each other and thus reducing his bounties. The cages were all empty, making a mockery of the bay's spaciousness. But it never hurt to be prepared. He didn't know when a string of urgent missions might prevent him from delivering each quarry to the appropriate authorities. And not all of them could be dispatched and piled in the morgue next-door. Kell walked into one of the cells and dropped the Vlarg from his shoulder. Then he stepped out, paused, tossed the bag of body parts on top of the moaning alien, and locked the door. It was time to head back for the handover and payment.
