|text=On Wurjex IV, it's legal to hunt and kill any animal found on the planet -- as long as hunters replace whatever they annihilate. This usually involves paying for the cloning process, or else having replacements delivered from another world or a traveling fauna replenishment ship.

That policy led to the famous legal case of 'Har Nur Ult Vs. Puny Humans' (to use the Rylattu media's name for it). Authorities charged the titular alien with murder after he visited Wurjex IV, gunned down a honeymooning couple, and left barrels of radioactive feces behind by way of a replacement -- declaring that this substance was almost indistinguishable from "worthless stink-beasts". The jury subsequently found him not guilty, which some legal analysts suggest might be due to the fact that three of their number perished in doomsday-device-related 'accidents' during their deliberations.

The precedent established in that case remains unchallenged to this day. Hence human hunters have to watch their backs whilst stalking prey on Wurjex IV, lest they find themselves hunted in turn. Though at least they know that if the worst happens, their next of kin will receive a supply of toxic excrement to help offset the loss.
