Bodies and broken bits of armor are scattered like afterthoughts along the path that leads to the unmarked cell. Three guards are waiting there, tensed but in no way ready.
The vaporous body springs forward, spirals into a tornado of blades and rippled swirling edges. A scything sharp spray of blood marks the unceremonious dismemberment, and the multicolored assailant is at the door. Soft moans rise from the discarded wedges of flesh that were recently soldiers, but are now defined only by the mortal wounds.
Inside the cell the target shakes and trembles, thinks of his secrets, listens to the hiss and snap of the security grid as it fails, waits for the cocoon to breach. Only a matter of time now.
