The stormy humanoid form of seething gas and tangled hues bears down on the political prisoner’s wing and on the shouting guards arrayed before the security door that bars the way.
The intruder is now one body, now five, raging forward in a torrent through the bullets and the impotent flashes of plasma fire. They hear nothing but their own breath and curses and weaponry.
It bursts into five snaking whips of smoke that lash forward, snap around, tangle throats and infiltrate the cracks of faceplates. Squeezing and slicing, striking like snakes. A confusion of blood and screams, and in the space of heartbeats the intruder moves on, leaving the unimportant dead behind.
