|text=6. "Rodney DeAngelo had a head full of drink, a pocket full of creds, and a bellyful of stupid. His daddy was a big shot in the city. A rich man who thought he owned the world and pretty much did. Rodney was used to doing whatever he pleased, and was mighty unhappy to have a lawman tell him different.

"He told Gulch who his daddy was, and told him to get lost. When that didn't work, he reached for his gun. The sheriff saw he was just a stupid kid in over his head. Called for him to stand down before someone got hurt. Tried to be all calm and peaceful like. But some folk are dumb enough to take that as a sign a man's a coward. So Rodney drew and Gulch fired. The shotgun just about blew him in half."
