Dear Ulfric,
Someone is after us. First Amaund Motierre is offed after arranging our matter with the king, then the incident with Tharsten, and now Ranmir has been slain! The guards say the wounds where made by an expert. I think we made a mistake dealing with the Dark Brotherhood. Since then our best people have been assassinated. Either someone is paying the Dark Brotherhood to slay us or the murderers have just decided to kill us for fun, either way I believe the rational course of action is to place a large bounty for any Dark Brotherhood member or information on their whereabouts. I have already filed a substantial bounty in the Pale, where the Dark Brotherhood is Rumored to be located, and Markarth. I recommend you do the same in Solitude.
