Gemini's responsibilities were simple -- listen to communications between citizens, report anything that was problematic. He was to hear the words, find patterns if any existed. Discern if there were acts of terror being planned, or if someone was spreading negativity about Lensada. It wasn't quite the job he'd expected, but within a few months he learned to love it.

He could hear the strange ways in which people talked, their quirks, and the events they deemed significant enough to share with others over the communication networks. They became stories to Gemini, ones he would write down in his hardcopy journal at night, imagining adventurous endings that would make his grandfather proud.
