Varesa K'Zen, a skilled necromancer, is one of the dreamers that have found their way into the House of Thule. While not fully aware of her situation, she begins to suspect something is wrong with her when she starts to forget her spells and lose her magical ability. Believing it connected to the library directly, she asks for assistance in dealing with the antagonists within, something which humiliates her when she could so easily have done it before.
