The officer page template for Lots http://zoywiki.com/index.php/LotS/items/Officers auto generates 40 pixel version thumbnails from full size images. For example, here's the url from the thumbnail image on left in list for kole: http://zoywiki.com/images/thumb/f/fd/LotS_Admiral_Kole.png/40px-LotS_Admiral_Kole.png Specifically the part that says 40px-LotS_Admiral_Kole.png Crew page also uses a similar template.

Many of the other templates require a separate thumbnail image, such as the utilities template. For example the anniversary bot icon thumbnail image link is: http://zoywiki.com/images/b/b4/LotS_Anniversary_Bot_icon.png This requires a separate smaller icon image. Its easier for someone updating the wiki to just upload a single image and let the template auto generate a smaller version for the icons. My suggest is to change the coding in the other template pages that generate those icon/thumbnail links to match the officer/crew pages.

Just wanting to point out an issue here and some reasoning behind it, LotS uses 3 image sizes when displaying the game to you, xlarge (random size) for profile, a medium (usually 128px max) for the fusion, and the icon (48px max) you see in inventory and these are scaled depending on the detected browser window size. - we use the latter two for item and list pages in their raw format from cache, the issue you run into is the whitespace around xlarge/medium images can be random for equipment and when applying the 40px reduction, you get a 5px image or warped looking image if the image is not at least 40px wide/tall or square, examples of this are on the helmet page, Screaming Skull Mask, Xin Nian Long Mask, when pulling the cached icon file you get a auto cropped version that sizes well for the list pages.

basically what i'm trying to point out is that if there was one 128x128px image it would be simple. The images in general can be fixed, but this can be time consuming as sometimes there is not a correctly sized image to work with, using the stock icon adds a little time but nothing compared to editing images, maybe this can be done with a server side auto crop image script in the future.

Should I revert those pages back to using the 40px icons? I was trying to save time, not make work.

id say revert for now on equipment pages, consumables/tactics/officers/utilities/trinkets/ships/crew use a standard 128px image so the current template works for them, thinking a clone of the template with the icon for equipment pages.
